Brief Description:  Rudder/brake pedal installation

Today I jumped ahead a little in the assembly sequence. I edge finished the rudder/brake pedals, cranks and attaching angles. Then I match drilled the foregoing to each other and trimmed the angles as laid out in the drawings followed by deburring. I then drilled the rudder/brake pedal mounting tube UHMW mounting blocks and fitted them to the rudder/brake pedal mounting tubes. I installed the rudder/brake pedals on the mounting tubes, aligned the tubes and pedals in the neutral position and scribed a mark on the brake pedal crank to drill the brake cylinder mounting hole. With that complete I disassemble everything, carried out countersinking where necessary and then position engraved all the parts, see image 1. Later in the day I got in another work session. I cut lightening holes in the F-6119 rudder pedal brace, fabricated the F-6119 rudder cable links and drilled and cut the F-6115 rudder pedal bearing block, see image 2.
